Time to renew your membership! If you have not already done so, it is time to renew your membership for 2008. Memberships in the Simsbury Land Trust are based on the calendar year. If you receive the notecard pictured here, you have not renewed your membership in 2008.

We need your membership now more than ever as we work to protect the final piece of Tulmeadow Farm -- the 73-acre woodlot. You can renew online by credit card, or by mail with the membership form found in the membership section of the website.

Your membership donation is important to us.

Last year’s 880 members provided over $90,000 in critical operating and program funds.

Every membership counts!

Memberships are important to grant making and funding sources. A large and diverse membership indicates to these sources that our mission is important to many people in Simsbury.

Memberships are our primary sources of operating funds. Membership donations cover the expenses we incur running the organization, pursuing acquisitions, raising money to buy properties, and caring for the 26 properties we currently protect.

Members energize our efforts. Preserving land takes time, money and energy. A strong and growing membership sends everyone a message that you care about our mission. Our volunteers need to know that their efforts matter to you!

Time is running out.

Have you ever felt a sense of frustration or disappointment as yet another favorite field or ridgeline was lost to development? We often take for granted the open space in Simsbury. Fields and ridgelines are prime targets for development and may be lost forever unless we act quickly.
